About Lion's Heart Foundation
Lion's Heart Foundation Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in North Miami Beach, Florida. We were founded in 2023 by three friends — Vitali Markau, Volodymyr Hahonin, and Ramil Gizetdinov — with a simple idea: a birthday can do more than celebrate one person. It can change the lives of children who did nothing to deserve the war they live in.
Our model is personal and transparent. A host celebrates a birthday and asks guests to donate to the foundation instead of giving presents. The foundation pools these donations and grants them to established, accountable programmes in Ukraine — our principal partner is the Voices of Children Foundation, which has provided psychological support to children affected by war since 2015.
Birthdays are where we started, and they remain our signature format. Since then, the foundation has grown into other projects as well — seasonal gift campaigns, concerts and shows, sports and community events, and individual aid — always for people in need, and most of all for children affected by the war in Ukraine.
Every grant we make is documented, and every partner reports back with numbers, photos, and children's feedback. We publish those reports on this site.
